Hearing system:
Infrared
Infrared hearing systems are technical devices that transmit sound signals such as speech or music wirelessly using infrared light beams. They consist of one or more transmitters and special receivers that convert the infrared signals back into audio signals. The transmission of signals using infrared light requires that there is direct visual contact between the transmitter and receiver. Objects such as pillars, curves in the room or people can interrupt this contact, which can make it necessary to install several transmitters in a room.
As infrared light does not penetrate walls, these systems are particularly suitable for situations where confidentiality is important, such as in courtrooms or during confidential meetings. In addition, several transmission channels can be used simultaneously, making them ideal for international events with foreign language interpretation.
Users of infrared hearing systems require special receivers that can be used either via a neck loop with hearing aids with a telecoil or with an audio input.
A loudspeaker system is also installed in the room where the hearing system is located.
The room can be rented (max. 40 Persons).
